Bulgandry Aboriginal Engravings
A short, flat stroll to ancient Aboriginal rock engravings. Easy enough for little legs and full of wonder.
Good Architect · Bushwalks
Some of the best days out with kids are spent in the bush. These walks are short, easy and full of things to spot, from rock engravings and waterfalls to kangaroos and swimming holes.
Most are flat or gentle, with a clear path and somewhere to stop for a snack. A few are a little longer for older kids who are ready for a small adventure.
We also have a guide to Wildflowers on the Central Coast because there are so many stunning flowers in the bush here.

The walks

A quick walk to a giant rock that really does look like an elephant. Kids love scrambling around the base.

A tiny loop where kangaroos graze in the open. Bring the camera and watch them in the late afternoon.

A short walk down to two pretty waterfalls with a picnic area at the top. A favourite on a warm day.

A gentle loop through tall trees and ferns, with a creek and plenty of birdsong.

An easy loop past creeks and small falls, with lookouts and an old picnic ground.

A flat, clearly marked loop near The Entrance with a lookout the kids can reach.

A bush walk to a tall waterfall and a pool below. A little longer, best for older kids who like an adventure.
