Who we are

Good Architect is a sole-trader architectural practice operated by Shea Cullen, based on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia. You can reach us at or 0411 220 220.

What we collect

  • The email address you give us when you download a checklist or sign up for tips.
  • Whether you opted in to receive building tips.
  • Which article you downloaded the checklist from, and which items you ticked.
  • If you buy a paid checklist: your email, which product you bought, the amount paid, your download link and how many times it has been used, and your consultation credit code.
  • A one way hash of your IP address and your browser user agent, used only to limit abuse.

What we use it for

  • Sending you the checklist PDF you requested, or delivering the paid checklist you bought and honouring its download link and consultation credit.
  • If you opted in: occasional emails with tips for getting the best outcome when building (a few times a year, never more than weekly).
  • Understanding which advice in our articles resonates, in aggregate.

How long we keep it

We keep your email until you ask us to delete it. Email and we'll remove your record within seven days.

Who we share it with

We don't sell or share your details with any third party. Free checklist signups are stored in a Google Sheet that only Shea can access; the PDF itself is generated on the spot and streamed to you, never stored. Paid checklist purchases are processed by Stripe (your card details go to Stripe directly and never touch our servers), and the purchase record that powers your download link lives in our own database.

Unsubscribing

Every tips email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email us directly.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you can ask to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email us and we'll act within seven days.
