The Central Coast is a beautiful area and you've made the best decision to move here. Here are a few things you should do now that you have moved to make you feel more at home. These are things that are heaviliy subsidised by Central Coast Council or that you can do for free. Have fun!
Get a subsidised compost or wormfarm:
Central Coast Council subsidises Compost Revolution so you can get good quality worm farms and composts really cheaply. This is real, I have ordered and recieved a $20 worm farm - kids love it, its like another pet. The prices might be higher or lower depending on when you apply, I used a code wormfarm20 to get the discount. Have a look, well worth getting.

Sign up to curby and they'll send you curby bags that you can fill up with soft plastics, you then scan them for rewards and put them in your yellow bin. Simple.
