Which walk should we do this weekend?

That is the question this book answers. It might be a hot day and you want shade and a swim at the end. You might have kids who run out of steam after two kilometres, a dog who has to come too, or a pram that cannot handle stairs. You might just want somewhere you have never been.

The Central Coast is full of walks most locals have never heard of, tucked into national parks, state forests and council reserves. What is written about them is scattered across park websites, old forum posts and word of mouth. This book puts it in one place.

Why I wrote it

I am an architect on the Central Coast, and I spend a lot of my spare time on these tracks. I have written up more than a hundred of them on this website. This book gathers those walks into something you can hold, keep in the glovebox and write in.
